Introduction
Originally Cobo Wallet, Keystone was spun out into its own company in 2021. Keystone promises a a commitment to security, innovation, and delivering a seamless user experience.
Company background
The product was initially known as Cobo Vault. Cobo was founded in 2017 in Beijing, China by Shixing Mao (CEO) and Changhao Jiang (CTO).
Cobo Vault was rebranded to Keystone in 2021 and spun out into the company Yanssie HK Limited by Lixin Liu (former Head of Hardware for Cobo Vault).

Customer data policy
There are four main areas where Keystone handles customer data. On the website they integrate Google Analytics and state that they do share information (including purchases) to their advertising partners. It does not seem to be personal details, but rather cookies for ad retargeting purposes. They use Shopify to power their webshop.
The wallet itself is 100% offline and can not transmit any personal data.
The companion app transmits the following:
- Device Information: operating system version, device model, device ID (pseudonymized), IP address and Keystone hardware wallet firmware version.
- App Information: App version, App crash and error information, page rendering time and internet request time.
- Wallet Information: UUID of the wallet, type of cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency addresses, txHEX and transaction information including timestamp, sending address, receiving address and the amount of the transaction.
Keystone customer support might collect additional information, e.g. name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, And any information about quality issues of the Product and Services
